Neurotrauma research papers - Crescent Moon Foundation.
Neurotrauma. Centre: Centre for Neuroscience, Surgery and Trauma. Lead: Professor Adina Michael-Titus. The research in this unit focuses on major translational projects in spinal cord injury, peripheral nerve injury, Alzheimer’s disease and amyotrophic lateral sclerosis. We use a variety of in vitro and in vivo models and the group includes.
History. T he Neurotrauma and Brain Barriers Research Laboratory was established in 2008 at the Department of Emergency Medicine and is directed by Dr. Adam Chodobski. Our laboratory is located on the Rhode Island Hospital Campus in Coro West, Suite 112. Our research focuses on dysfunction of the blood-brain barrier resulting from neurotrauma, post-traumatic brain edema, and neuroinflammation.
He was Deputy Editor of the Journal of Neurotrauma for 14 years, and is a reviewer for thirteen other journals. Research interests include pathomechanisms of TBI, neuroprotection trials, neuromonitoring, and the role of stem cells in regeneration and repair. He has co-authored four sets of management guidelines, four books, and over 250 papers.
Building on the success of Journal of Neurotrauma, which has published exceptional research and clinical papers for more than 35 years, Neurotrauma Reports will provide a dedicated open access.
She has published more than 60 peer-reviewed scientific papers and an additional 30 reviews and chapters including in the Journal of Neurotrauma, JAMA Neurology, Journal of Neurosurgery and the New England Journal of Medicine. Dr. Samadani also served as an unaffiliated neurotrauma consultant to the National Football League from 2015 to 2018.
Neurotrauma describes two complex conditions: acquired brain injury (ABI) and spinal cord injury (SCI). Both are life-changing and lead to significant ongoing contact with all branches of the Ontario health care system. Acquired brain injury can result in problems with attention, planning and interacting with others. Spinal cord injury can lead to permanent paralysis.
Journal of Neurotrauma is the flagship, peer-reviewed publication for reporting on the latest advances in both the clinical and laboratory investigation of traumatic brain and spinal cord injury. The Journal focuses on the basic pathobiology of injury to the central nervous system, while considering preclinical and clinical trials targeted at improving both the early management and long-term.
